A local young person from Prudhoe is living his Italian dream with support from the Tynedale Enterprise Project.
Anthony Finn, a 23 year old, has turned his love for Italian food and coffees into a fledging business and is managing to find new customers across the region. He was initially unsure what type of business he wanted to start. The TEP facilitator encouraged Anthony to identify what he really loved doing and from the discussions that followed he decided the new business would draw on his passion for all things Italian and his previous experience as a barista. Anthony approached the TEP enterprise facilitator when he first decided he wanted to set up his own business. He did consider opening a coffee shop and while researching this plan he came across a coffee supplier based in Sicily that offered the high quality product he required and was not being sold by anyone else in the UK.
What sets Anthony apart from the crowd is his passion teamed with his barista training. Anthony goes into the retail outlets and delivers training on the best way to serve Ginevra coffee; he also imports and sells Italian confectionery - the perfect accompaniment to a traditional Italian coffee. With an ever increasing list of outlets, his most notable to date include Adrianos in Gosforth, Deli @ Darras and Il Piccolo in Corbridge.
